CHICAGO CUBS
Chicago Cubs
As Creative Director at EMI Network, I oversaw all creative services and publications for one of Major League Baseball’s most storied franchises — building a department from the ground up and opening a dedicated satellite office in Chicago.
Building a Creative Operation for an Iconic Brand
EMI Network won the Chicago Cubs account through a strategy and proposal I developed as an independent consultant. I was then brought on full-time to build the creative services department, lead the Cubs engagement, and establish a Chicago presence for the company.
CREATIVE SERVICES
Creative Director & Account Lead
Served as the primary creative lead and account manager for the Chicago Cubs, overseeing all creative services and publications for the team. Collaborated directly with Cubs leadership to ensure every piece of work reflected the franchise’s identity and high standards.
Managed a team of designers, writers, and production staff across two offices to deliver a continuous stream of print, digital, and experiential work throughout the season and off-season.
Scope of Creative Services
Design and production of official Cubs publications including game programs, yearbooks, and fan guides — each built to the franchise’s exacting brand standards.
Season tickets, group sales packages, premium seating brochures, sponsorship decks, and digital advertising assets across the organization.
Developed a comprehensive library of brand-compliant templates and production workflows that enabled consistent, high-quality output across all departments.
Department Built from Scratch
One of the most rewarding aspects of this engagement was building the Creative Services department and its workflows from nothing — staffing, processes, tools, and a satellite office in Chicago.
